TUTU Cute - January Update #2

I only wish I had a picture of all 4 girls together to show you, however I do have some "TuTu Cute" girls to show you.....and have to share a special family with you as well.  I know that I have posted before about a family that went to China with us (their daughter is from a different orphanage, however they were part of the original large family group.)  They are making tutu's and selling them to raise money for their next adoption --- and I could NOT let Christmas pass without buying some of these oh-so-cute tutu's.  We bought one for Anne Marie, her cousin Naomi & two of her very special friends.  I wanted to share them with you & show them off a little.  Every little girl needs a tutu & I would suggest you check out THIS website to browse through all the BEAUTIFUL tutu's she has made & can make for YOU!  Her goal is to sell 2000 tutu's to raise money for their adoption, lets help her do it!

January Update #1

Whew, it's been a long month.  What's our excuse for being "out of blog land"?  Not much - just lots of little things.  Getting cleaned up after Christmas, each of us were sick (strep, sinus infection & just plain yuck!), getting back to work/school,  and starting a new exercise/diet routine.  But I thought I'd backtrack & give a few post on our month that was (almost over) January....

Anne Marie's first sleep over in her new room!  Our friend Mattie came to play with us one day - and the girls decided that they wanted to have a sleep over ---- well, how could I say no when Anne Marie had just got her new trundle bed for Christmas JUST for this reason?!?!   There were lots of giggles, lots of popcorn, lots of dress-up activities, a movie to watch & pancakes to be made in the morning.  The girls don't get to see each other as much as they used to now that Mattie is in all day pre-school & Anne Marie in only in 1/2 day, so when they do get together it's more fun than ever!

The girls dressed up in their new outfits they got for Christmas.  (More on these WAY "TUTU" cute outfits in the next post.  Someone we know is making these way-tu-cute tutu's to raise money for their next adoption & the wonderful friend I work with is made these cute little shirts to go with the tutus - and she's offered to make them to go with any of the tutu's that are being sold to help them raise money!!)

The girls "camping out" in the living room watching a movie & eating popcorn

Ready for bed in our new Christmas gift -- they were so excited to be able to sleep together!

Helping w/ breakfast (pancakes) the next morning.

A "Wii" Bit of Fun....

We got a special family-Christmas-gift this year.  Daddy surprised Anne Marie (and ME!! - I had no idea!) with a Wii.  Anne Marie opened it as her "Santa" gift this year & looked very confused when she opened it - she looked at us and asked "Did I ask Santa for this?"  Well, I didn't know how to answer.  Mike was very lucky to have a very very nice friend that works for a local discount warehouse shipping plant & the store they service just also happens to be located  in town & so, Mike's friend gave Mike his store discount!!

Well, let's just say that this girl has taken to the Wii.  Isn't it funny how fast little kids learn computer type of things that take us for ever to learn!!  She's already beat us in bowling!! (twice)  Our girl bowled a 179 the other night (beating us both) and even scoring the HIGH score of the game so far...this was the celebration that followed............
