Contest Winner!!

Well, not us -- but Mike's Mom!! She entered a drawing at a local boutique - type toy store -- and won!! She called Saturday to say that she wanted to take Anne Marie "shopping". She wanted to pick out a Christmas gift and a few things for her to keep at her house for Anne Marie and let Anne Marie take a little treat home too!

Well, let me tell you Anne Marie had a TON-O-FUN! She was all over that toy-store. She played with every toy that was not secured in plastic. She drove a fuzzy kitty around in a stroller, she road the toy tractor, she tried on all the construction/police/fireman/ and princess hats. She played with the baby-dolls & play kitchen, she read books & ran around as if she owned the store.

We finally decided on something for Christmas - and his mom picked up a couple cute things to keep at her house, and Anne Marie finally picked out her gift to take home today. She decided to get the baby-doll-doctor-kit. She is such a little "mommy" ! She just LOVED it! I'll just say that there is no way there will ever be a sick baby in our house again...haa! (See 2nd post w/ pictures & video of her at home "taking care" of her baby.)

Way to go Grandma!! Thanks for a day-of-fun!!

Summer Is Here ...so....Beach Here We Come!!!

AHHHH.... the beach!! A few weeks ago we were able to take a long 4 day weekend and join some friends of our at the beach!!

I know I've said it before, but there is no place we'd rather be than the beach. God's handy-work is never more clear to me than sitting watching those beautiful, strong waves crashing down on the sand. My mind just seems to calm at the beach ... I don't know what I would do w/out our little trips to the beach!! I will say this time however, those waves scared me a little -- when it came to Anne Marie running head first into them........ she has NO FEAR!!!! She was laughing all the way! We didn't sit much -- or -- one of us could, but the other one was always up with her. She kept getting hit by the waves & yelling "Dat was a Big One Dadda!" It cracked us up!!

Happy Father's Day.... a little late eh??

Again, we've been so busy that I'm behind on my posts ... but I just had to post our little fathers day treat that Anne Marie (and I) made for Dad!! Most of his fathers day gift was our long weekend @ the beach. However, we spent Father's Day at home, so we had to do something special for him. Father's day for me is hard, because I miss my dad so much -- but it's such a blessing to be able to spend this day with my husband and my daughter -- he's such a GREAT dad and she loves him so!!

We made a cute little card w/ Anne Marie's fingerprints made into little lady-bugs. Inside the card it read : "Some Buggy Loves You"... hee hee .... too cute eh?? Also, his FAVORITE cookie is an M-n-M cookie -- so we made a HUGE M-n-M cookie for him w/ "Happy Father's Day" written in icing on it --- Anne Marie couldn't stand waiting to give it to Daddy @ dinner -- she talked about it all day!!!
