Ok, you know you're old when your New Years excitement is going to dinner with a 2 1/2 year old and a 2 month old and getting back at home in time for them to get to bed. Then watching the ball drop & heading to bed yourself 15 minutes after!!
But that is us now -- and it's just how we like it!! Our friends Diane & Brian came to visit us over New Years. And .... baby Andrew!!! Anne Marie LOVES (LOVES LOVES LOVES) babies! She has at least 10 of her own -- and loves real ones too!
She badly wanted to hold this child. It just made me nervous to watch -- his own mother was calm while she was holding him, but I just held my breath!! She hugged him, kissed him & then finally shared him with cousin Naomi (who also had to get her hands on him!!)
It was quite sweet! I'm just so happy for them -- he's such a sweet little baby.

There is something so sweet about how little toddlers love babies! Anne Marie looks like a natural, must be from all the practice with her baby dolls!
Oh, and I know what you mean about getting old and New Year's Eve. A few years ago we were in on a failed plan to drive to NYC to see the ball drop, this year we had to wake ourselves up to see it on TV and then went right back to sleep...
Oh my goodness he is just sooooo sweet! Anne Marie looks so old holding him! She will be such a good Mommy someday!
