Our Favorite Word....

"No!" -- ugh!! I can't tell you how much I can not stand that this has become our (Anne Marie's) favorite word! Every time someone new comes up to greet her & we say "say hello" - she says "NO!". Every time we say "Do you want this or that..." she says "NO!" When ever you ask her to do just about anything she says "NO!". We've been trying to figure out the best way to nip this quick. We are trying, but I'm afraid that like this last time when we played this game with her it did not help -- so we know we're part of the problem at this point. (I think we're giving the word "NO!" too much attention!!)

One night after dinner, we asked her if she loved us - "No!" - if she loved different family members "No!", "No!", "No!".... and so on ... until we got to one question ... and it brought a "Yes!" -- we found it so funny, we thought we'd grab the camera to see if she would answer all the questions the same again --- YUP! As much as we hate the word NO, this was quite funny...

P.S. -- We had our LAST homestudy this past week. Wednesday our adoption agencies social worker came to visit us to conduct our last and final homestudy!! YEA!! We are now "done" with paperwork for China and our Adoption Agency. We will now move into the final re-adoption here in the US. I can't believe it's been almost 1 year since this sweet child came into our lives! God has been so good to us this year.
